Thank you for your interest in the post of Teacher of Psychology at Redland Green School. This is
an opportunity to play a role in a successful team in a stimulating, fulfilling and high achieving
environment. The role is permanent on a part time 0.7 contract.
Social Science is a successful and popular curriculum area at Redland Green. There are currently
a team of six teachers (two part-time); four psychology teachers and two sociology and health and
social care teachers. The successful candidate will be able to teach psychology at GCSE and ALevel.
Students follow the AQA specification for psychology at GCSE and at A level and the courses are
consistently some of the most popular subjects with students being taught. Results at both GCSE
and A level are outstanding and we are looking to recruit a colleague who is committed to
maintaining high expectations and helping students achieve outstanding results.
Our students are enthusiastic and responsive. They expect to be challenged by a diverse range of
pedagogies and receive meaningful feedback to improve their learning. Central to their success is
expert guidance from innovative teachers.
There is a great deal of experience within the curriculum team. You will be fully supported by staff

We are looking for an experienced teacher of Business Studies who is also willing to teach some
Mathematics to at least KS3 level. You will be primarily teaching A level and BTEC National
Business Studies but you will also be willing to teach some Mathematics, although you do not
need to have previous experience of this. Business Studies sits within the successful ‘BITE’
Business, IT and Economics faculty that consistently delivers positive outcomes for our students
and the successful candidate will play a key role within BITE. Redland Green is one of the two
learning communities in the North Bristol Post 16 Centre successfully providing outstanding
learning for 850 students. We provide strong pastoral support and monitoring but also encourage
independence in learning and study habits. Redland Green School is a very special place to work
and we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team.
The role is currently based at Redland Green School however in future could be based at a
different school within the Trust or a separate location in close proximity to the Trust’s schools.
Some travel between the Trust’s sites will be required.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach in one of the highest achieving schools in Bristol. We

Your contract of employment is directly with Gatehouse Green Learning Trust (‘the Trust’). Your main place of work will be Compass Point Primary but you may be deployed to work at any school within the Trust and carry out those duties that may be reasonably required in relation to such deployment.
